Voodoo Raise Rally Flag, Beat New Amsterdam, 6-5
New Orleans designated hitter Guillermo Coss made his presence felt in the 6-5 Voodoo triumph over the New Amsterdam Dutchmen. Coss was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times. New Orleans reliever Grover Lowdermilk got the win, raising his record to 4-6. Nelle Liefting was tagged with the loss. New Orleans, at 47-33, sits in second place in the Silver League.

The Voodoo were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when pinch hitter Guy Toussaint turned a 2-0 cutter from Nelle Liefting into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave New Orleans a thrilling 6-5 win.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Toussaint.
