Late Rally by Voodoo Secures Win
Juan Guillén pitched well, but the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC still lost the game, falling 3-2 to the New Orleans Voodoo at Great Northern Field. New Orleans, at 45-31, sits in second place in the Silver League.

The Voodoo got a big at-bat from third baseman Orlando Velásquez. For the game, Velásquez went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. In the top of the eighth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 11th home run of the season gave New Orleans a 3-2 lead.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Velásquez told the New Orleans Gazette.
