Pivotal Game Goes to Host Hotspur, 5-1
|
Phoenix Hotspur right fielder Francisco García was the difference-maker at Chase Field today, winning player of the game honors as he led his club to victory in a pivotal Game of the Silver League Championship. The Hotspur took the 5-1 win over the Boston Patriots to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.
García had a big at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Hotspur went on to win.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," García told the Phoenix Today.
