Almost There: New Orleans On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 7-2 Win
The New Orleans Voodoo are one game away from a sweep of the Seattle Aviators today after a 7-2 road win at Boeing Dome. Voodoo right-hander Matt Martin was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. New Orleans now holds a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.

One of the key players for the Voodoo was catcher Andy Putman, who drilled a 2-run double in the top of the first inning. For the game, Putman went 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Putman.
