Dutchmen Hammered by Bernard, Fall Further Behind in R1
The Kingston Township Knights moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the New Amsterdam Dutchmen on the road at Dutch Master Park by a score of 8-7. Knights left fielder Ron Bernard was named player of the game after he went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win gives the Knights a - advantage in the best-of- Third League Championship.

Bernard had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the third, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Knights went on to win.

"We came out aggressive," said Knights manager Rayzor Ray. "We came out swinging the bats."
