The Las Vegas Flamingos moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the St. Louis Coeur on the road at The BFIB by a score of 14-6. Flamingos third baseman Sake van Arem was named player of the game after he was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. The win gives the Flamingos a - advantage in the best-of- Round 1.

In the top of the fifth inning, second baseman Xavier Hernández came through big-time for the Flamingos. With Las Vegas leading 4-0, he belted a grand slam home run.

"Losing is easy," said van Arem. "Winning is hard."
