Northern Lions BC Turn Back Phoenix, 3-2
|
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Phoenix Hotspur at Great Northern Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Jon Briddon, who captured player of the game honors. Thunder Bay is now 28-21.
Joe Aller, who is rated as the 37th best prospect by BNN, aided the Thunder Bay cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder drove in one run.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Briddon told the Thunder Bay Gazette.
