Soto Rips Richardson City for 5 Hits
|
Outlaws right fielder Bartolo Soto had his way with Richardson City pitching today at Nashville Stadium and mauled them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Thundercats ruined his great day by toppling the Outlaws, 11-8.
"I had a great day, but you've got to give Richardson City credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits."
"Oh, we noticed what Soto did today," Thundercats skipper TJ Reynolds said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him."
Bartolo Soto singled in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Soto is hitting .341 so far this season with 13 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He has 56 hits including 2 home runs, 6 walks and .368 OBP.
