Fenix Get One-Run Win at Phoenix
|
Fans who gathered at Chase Field saw a good contest between the New Jersey Fenix and Phoenix Hotspur.
New Jersey right-hander Edmund Blackadder made an effective start against the Phoenix Hotspur at Chase Field, leading his team to a 4-3 win. The winning pitcher was Blackadder, now 4-2. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 4.
Javier Sánchez hit a run-scoring double off Richard Osborn in the top of the seventh, which put the Fenix in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Sánchez had 2 singles, while going 3 for 5.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Blackadder said.
New Jersey has a 3-game win streak, while Phoenix has lost 3 in a row.
