Dominant Performance by Moore in St. Louis Win
|
The St. Louis Coeur picked up a win at The BFIB, knocking off the Richardson City Thundercats, 5-0. Starting pitcher David Moore, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Even with the win, the Coeur have a dismal 10-19 record.
Moore was in the zone all game. He frustrated Richardson City hitters while giving the Coeur 8.1 innings of quality work. Moore threw 106 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 9 punchouts.
Moore expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
