Thundercats Win in Glorious Fashion
|
Nashville got a terrific performance from pitcher António Muńóz, but it wasn't enough to beat the Richardson City Thundercats. Richardson City won the The Thunder Dome contest, 4-3. Muńóz was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball. The win takes Richardson City to 2-2.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Richardson City trailing 3-1, Tomás Martínez hit a cutter from Kenete Daku to left for a 3-run home run. Just like that, the Thundercats had a walk-off win.
Martínez said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
