Gold Sox Walk Off with 4-3 Win
|
The Philadelphia 1776 BC got a superb performance from pitcher José Cotilla, but the Chicago Gold Sox still won the game, 4-3. Cotilla was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 9 innings of 7-hit ball. With the loss, Philadelphia 1776 drops to 5-2.
Count Dante had a nice at-bat for the Gold Sox with no one out in the bottom of the 19th. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the right fielder drew a walk, which would prove important in the Chicago win.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Dante.
