Outlaws Lose to Coeur, 9-3
|
It was a fun time at The BFIB, where the Nashville Outlaws and St. Louis Coeur tangled.
The St. Louis Coeur topped the Nashville Outlaws by the score of 9-3, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman Syed Sarkar. Sarkar went 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Coeur. St. Louis starter Aimo Latva was credited with the win after throwing 110 pitches over 8 innings. His record now stands at 8-9.
Sarkar had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Coeur went on to win.
In postgame comments to the St. Louis Times, Sarkar said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The Coeur improved to 49-56.
