3L Player of the Week Selected Monday, August 8th, 2033 26-year-old Edgar Baeza sent shock waves through Menard's Third League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Menard's Third League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Baeza made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .667 average, 10 hits in 15 at-bats, no home runs and 1 run batted in. Where the Greenville 84s third baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Baeza certainly made his mark last week. Baeza is hitting at a .343 mark this season. His stats show 5 home runs, 27 RBIs and 47 runs scored. He has played 73 games for the 84s. |
