Lio Sets Record with Win Sunday, September 4th, 2033 Logging a win at 5 Paces Park today, Bartolomeu Lio of the Richardson City Thundercats set the all-time United States Silver League record. The win, number 86 in his distinguished career, cements Lio among the elite pitchers of baseball history. "It's hard to believe sometimes," Lio said, "that I've had this much success. I take none of it for granted." So far this year Lio has made 21 starts, tossed 127.2 innings, struck out 55 batters and walked 34. His record is 7-7 with a 3.17 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .234 batting average. |
