Red-Hot Báez Scorches Hotspur Tuesday, September 6th, 2033 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Melito Báez today. Báez went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Phoenix pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Chase Field, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids had a 15-3 victory over the Hotspur. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Melito Báez grounded out in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Alexander Weareorwear in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
