Aviators Lose, 7-2, at The Thunder Dome
|
Richardson City starter Josef van der Poel pitched effectively against the Seattle Aviators at The Thunder Dome. The right-hander led his team to a 7-2 win. Richardson City, at 45-46, occupies 5th place in the Silver League.
Kazuyoshi Hasegawa, who is tied for 9th in the SL in extra base hits with 35, aided the Richardson City cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 2 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll savor this win," Hasegawa told the Richardson City Citizen, "then get ready for the next game."
