Athletic Club KC Get Past D.C. for 4-3 Win
|
The Athletic Club KC picked up a win at Washington Stadium, knocking off the D.C. Divided, 4-3. Starting pitcher Stanley Yelnats played a key role in the triumph. Yelnats, now 4-4, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 3 earned runs. Raúl Luna was called on to finish, recording his 10th save.
Andrés Medina, who is tied for 8th in the SL in bases on balls with 41, contributed to the Athletic Club KC win with a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
