Host Evergreens Drop Pivotal Game , Now Trail Series -

Northern Virginia catcher Galtero Suárez was the key at Evergreen Park today, being named player of the game as he powered the Rainbow Mermaids to victory in a critical Game of the Round 2034. The Rainbow Mermaids took the 11-1 win over the Portland Evergreens to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.
Suárez had a big at-bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the top of the eighth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Rainbow Mermaids went on to win.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Suárez said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
The next game is set to be played Sunday in Hampton. The scheduled starters for the game are George Eisenhauer for Portland and Ricardo García for Northern Virginia.
