Host Patriots Drop Pivotal Game , Now Trail Series -
|
Phoenix third baseman Julián De Paz was the key at Dunkin Donuts Park today, being named player of the game as he powered the Hotspur to victory in a critical Game of the Round 2034. The Hotspur took the 6-5 win over the Boston Patriots to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.
Highlands Ranch, Colorado-born Corey Ferguson came through in the clutch. In the top of the fourth, with the bases loaded and the Hotspur trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run double to right-center to put Phoenix on top.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Hotspur manager Michael Esposito. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
