Round 2034 Game 1 Victory for Keller\n and Portland
The Portland Evergreens moved to within one game of the Round 2035 today, downing the visiting Buckhead Bowties at Evergreen Park by a score of 7-3. Evergreens right-hander Gerald Keller was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings allowing 2 runs. The win gives the Evergreens a - advantage in the best-of- Round 2034.

John Ennis, who is rated as the 17th best prospect by BNN, helped out the Portland cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the first baseman went 2-4 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.

"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Portland manager Imran Baig told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."

The next game is scheduled for Saturday in Atlanta. The scheduled starters for the game are George Eisenhauer for the Portland Evergreens and David Buchanan for the the Buckhead Bowties.
