The Portland starter rose to the occasion at Gold Sox Field today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Evergreens to a crucial 5-2 victory over the Chicago Gold Sox. Keller threw 8 innings allowing 2 runs as the Evergreens won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- Round 1.

John Ennis, who is rated as the 17th best prospect by BNN, aided the Portland cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Ennis said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
