The Portland Evergreens moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Richardson City Thundercats at Evergreen Park by a score of 8-2. Evergreens right-hander Yoo-chul Mun was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings allowing 2 runs. The win gives the Evergreens a - advantage in the best-of- Round 1.

Billy Dotson, who is on pace for 79 RBI this season, chipped in for Portland with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
