Almost There: Portland On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 5-1 Win

Game was big. So was Yoo-chul Mun.
The Portland starter rose to the occasion at Quebec City Coliseum today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Evergreens to a crucial 5-1 victory over the Quebec City Les Bleus. Mun threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball as the Evergreens won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- Round 1.
In the top of the seventh inning, pinch hitter John Ennis came through big-time for the Evergreens. With Portland leading 1-0, he belted a grand slam home run.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Ennis.
