Bowties Reel Off Another Win
|
The Buckhead Bowties eked out a 3-2 win versus the Richardson City Thundercats at 5 Paces Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Dale Hamilton, who captured player of the game honors. Hamilton went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 6-3. Yoshii Ikeda closed the door for Buckhead, picking up his 2nd save of the year.
Raúl Ruíz, who is tied for 10th in the SL in triples with 2, chipped in for Buckhead with a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Hamilton said.
The winning streak has now reached 7 games for Buckhead.
