Piranhas Lose to Divided, 5-1
|
D.C. starter Manuel Delgadillo pitched effectively against the Panama City Piranhas at Washington Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 5-1 win. Delgadillo picked up the win for D.C., going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. Roberto Silva finished to wrap up his 5th save.
Yao-pang Chiang, who is tied for 5th in the SL in home runs with 8, contributed to the D.C. win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Chiang said.
D.C. is now 10-12.
