Piranhas Get Road Win, 6-3
|
The Panama City Piranhas defeated the Richardson City Thundercats, 6-3, in United States Silver League action at The Thunder Dome. Micah Coffey received player of the game honors. The 6-year veteran went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Folkert van Huizen closed the door for Panama City, picking up his 2nd save of the year. Panama City is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 6th in 18 games.
Coffey had an important at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the top of the second, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Piranhas went on to win.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Coffey.
