The D.C. Divided faced a tough opponent in Richardson City pitcher Shunen Takahashi, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Thunder Dome by a final score of 5-3. Takahashi went 8 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. The winner was Randy Gabaldon in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Enrique García took the loss. Roberto Silva recorded his 2nd save for D.C..

Arturo Rodríguez's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a curveball from Enrique García for a 2-run single. It put D.C. in front, 5-3.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Rodríguez. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

The loss drops Richardson City to 2-4.
