Flamingos Win in Glorious Fashion
|
Fans who came to The Strip watched the Las Vegas Flamingos and the Philadelphia 1776 BC fight to the finish.
Starting pitcher Toddster Gordo pitched well enough to help the Las Vegas Flamingos beat the Philadelphia 1776 BC by the score of 5-4. Las Vegas reliever Vaugh Chesser picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Tony Solíz was saddled with the loss.
Late in the game, designated hitter Victor Adams had a big at-bat for Las Vegas. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring double off Tony Solíz. The play gave the Flamingos a 5-4 lead.
In postgame remarks, Gordo simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
The Flamingos now own a record of 59-47.
