Flamingos Lose to Patriots, 4-1
|
It was a good time at Dunkin Donuts Park, where fans came to watch the Las Vegas Flamingos and Boston Patriots get after it.
Behind a solid performance from first baseman Jorge Alejándrez, the Boston Patriots defeated the Las Vegas Flamingos, 4-1. Alejándrez hit 2 home runs for the Patriots. José García picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-6. Germán Rodríguez was tagged with the loss. Armando Garay earned his 3rd save in 5 chances.
Alejándrez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Germán Rodríguez, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Patriots a 2-1 lead. It was the 16th home run of the year for Alejándrez.
Alejándrez told a Boston Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The Flamingos, now 49-41, have lost 4 straight.
