Smoke Bang Out 7-4 Win Versus Northern Virginia
|
It was a good time at Smoke Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids and Atlanta Smoke get after it.
The Atlanta Smoke beat the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 7-4, at Smoke Ballpark. Lance Antle was recognized as player of the game for his performance. He went 4-4 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs. The 27-year old left fielder was a menace to Northern Virginia all day. After today's action, Atlanta sits at 21-63, while Northern Virginia falls to 51-33.
Antle contributed a big hit, a 2-run single, for Atlanta in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Antle took a cutter from Addie Samson and stroked the single to center. His 21st hit of the season allowed the Smoke to leap in front, 3-2.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Antle said after the game.
