Northern Virginia rode a fine outing from starter Ricardo García to victory over the Boston Patriots at Dunkin Donuts Park. The final score was 5-2. Northern Virginia has now won 10 games in a row.

In the top of the ninth inning, pinch hitter Scott Kerin came through big-time for the Rainbow Mermaids. With Northern Virginia leading 3-2, he belted a 2-run home run.

"Winning is contagious," said Kerin. "We're looking forward to the next game."
