Flamingos Come Back Late, Nip Grey Wolves
|
The Las Vegas Flamingos topped the Vancouver Grey Wolves by the score of 4-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Baldomero Avino. Avino went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Flamingos on the day. Vaugh Chesser earned the save, his 3rd, for the Flamingos. The Flamingos now have a mark of 42-33.
Had Victor Adams not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Adams hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Flamingos.
"We did enough to win," said Adams.
