Wizarding Express starter Gary Barber pitched a strong game against the Echo Park Lakers at Platform 9 3/4, leading the Express to a 7-3 win. Barber went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 4-3. The winning streak has now reached 8 games for Wizarding.
Ralph Cranford put Wizarding in front, 2-1, when he took Rusty Swanson downtown. His 2-run home run came with no one out in the bottom of the sixth. It was his 16th home run of the season.
