Les Bleus Win in Glorious Fashion
|
Despite a great performance by Echo Park first baseman Guillermo Coss, the Quebec City Les Bleus defeated the Lakers by the score of 5-4 at Quebec City Coliseum. Coss was 4 for 6 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Quebec City now sits at 44-47, while Echo Park falls to 47-44.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Quebec City designated hitter Kumanosuke Asano, facing Bobby Roode, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Les Bleus the 5-4 win.
"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Quebec City manager Alan Starwood.
