Voodoo Lose to Express, 5-2
|
Getting an impressive start from Fred Gunther, Wizarding beat New Orleans by the score of 5-2. The save was credited to Carlos Salcido, his 18th. Wizarding now sits at 43-38, while New Orleans falls to 52-29.
Jesús Lazcano, who is the top prospect in the Express organization, helped out the Wizarding cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Wizarding manager David Jones.
