Echo Park used a superb performance from starting pitcher Luis Díaz to down the Oakland Oaks, 3-1. The Lakers now have a record of 29-30 with the win over Oakland.
Bartolo Sierra chipped in for Echo Park, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the top of the second inning. For the game, the center fielder went 1-4.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Díaz said.
