Les Bleus Stymie Nashville, Take 5-0 Win
|
Quebec City Les Bleus starter Blaine Stottlar was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Nashville Outlaws, 5-0. José Barquero got the save, the 1st for him this season. The Outlaws, now 37-21, have lost 4 in a row.
The Les Bleus got a big at-bat from left fielder Jeff Simpson. For the game, Simpson went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Quebec City a 2-0 lead.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Simpson.
