Evergreens Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
The first-place Portland Evergreens welcomed Boston to Evergreen Park.
Portland Evergreens starter Jorge Otero was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Boston Patriots, 5-2. Getting the save was Júlio Rodríguez, his 7th.
Mario Castillo put Portland in front, 2-1, when he took José García downtown. His 2-run home run came with one out in the bottom of the third. It was his 4th home run of the season.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Otero told the Portland News.
Portland is now 30-10, 6 games up in the Premier League.
