Hotspur Clip Stingers in Tight Contest
|
The Phoenix Hotspur topped the Toledo Stingers by the score of 7-5, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Francisco García. García was 4-5 with a triple and 3 singles. He scored 2 times for the Hotspur. Picking up the save was Morris Prinkey, his 10th. Phoenix currently is in 5th place in the Premier League at 18-19.
Phoenix took a 6-5 lead on García's 2nd triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which he hit off Asher Spivey in the top of the eighth, propelled Phoenix to the win.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said García.
