Grey Wolves Take Nail-Biter Over BC

The Vancouver Grey Wolves beat the Philadelphia 1776 BC, 8-5, at Wolf Den in Vancouver. The Grey Wolves got a fine performance from designated hitter Preston Witt, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 3 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Today's win puts Vancouver at 12-12, while Philadelphia 1776 falls to 10-14.
Hugh Mungus, who is tied for 2nd in the PL in home runs with 8, contributed to the Vancouver win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the 17th. For the game, the third baseman had 3 hits in 8 at-bats with 2 home runs, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 5 runs batted in.
