1837 BBC Lose to Legion, 5-2
|
Kingston Township starter Pete Rhue had a strong outing against the Houston 1837 BBC at Cloverdale Legion Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. Rhue went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 10. His record improves to 1-0. John Riggleman got credit for the save for Kingston Township. It was his 2nd of the year.
In the bottom of the third inning, third baseman Scott Robertson came through big-time for the Legion. With Kingston Township leading 2-0, he belted a 2-run home run.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Robertson said.
At 2-1, the Legion have played well so far.
