Bowties Get Road Win, 4-1
|
Spirited fans at Great Northern Field greeted the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC for their clash with the Buckhead Bowties.
Buckhead Bowties starter Octavius Pringle was in fine form against the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at Great Northern Field, leading his team to a 4-1 win. Nand Lal Chaudhary got the save, his 2nd in 3 chances.
Derek Bangert, who is tied for 5th in the SL in runs scored with 68, chipped in for Buckhead with a 2-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Pringle, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
The Bowties have an impressive 71-37 record.
