Victory Pushes Thundercats Record to 56-50
|
The Richardson City Thundercats defeated the New Jersey Fenix, 9-5, in United States Silver League action at The Thunder Dome, with Richardson City first baseman Tomás Martínez named player of the game. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Thundercats.
The Thundercats got a big at-bat from shortstop Felipe Campos. For the game, Campos went 2 for 5 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 116th hit of the season gave Richardson City a 1-0 lead.
"We came out aggressive," said Thundercats manager Imran Kopitar. "We came out swinging the bats."
