Martin Rips Pure Michigan for 5 Hits Saturday, August 7th, 2032 Coyotes center fielder Warren Martin had his way with Pure Michigan pitching today at Coyote Wildlife Refuge and mauled them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Great Lakers ruined his great day by toppling the Coyotes, 13-11. "I had a great day, but you've got to give Pure Michigan credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits." "Oh, we noticed what Martin did today," Great Lakers skipper Bob Thomas said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Warren Martin singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Edmund Blackadder in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jaime Carrión in the 9th.
