Flamingos, Green Blank Chicago Monday, September 17th, 2029 Doug Green of the Las Vegas Flamingos spun his magic on the Chicago Hawks today. He blanked them 7-0 on 4 hits, registering 8 strikeouts and 3 walks. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Green said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Las Vegas skipper JJ Hoban said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations." "Doug pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said. So far this year Green has made 19 starts, tossed 146.2 innings, struck out 93 batters and walked 39.
