SL News: Draft Pool Revealed

The deadline has passed for players to declare for the first-year player draft. United States Silver League officials have released a list to all teams with players who can be chosen on draft day. Teams now have a chance to scout the draft pool for 65 days before the draft is held.
The Transactions page of the BNN site has been updated to provide everyone a glimpse at the youngsters hoping to become the next baseball legends.
The top players available (in no particular order) seem to be: 1. Tim Stanley, 20 year-old 2B out of college. 2. Melvin Thomas, 18 year-old CF out of high-school. 3. Ray Carey, 17 year-old CF out of high-school. 4. Jake Gates, 22 year-old LHP out of college. 5. Greg Santos, 21 year-old RHP out of college. 6. Juan Morán, 21 year-old RHP out of college. 7. Ed Campbell, 18 year-old 1B out of high-school. 8. Craig Morgan, 22 year-old SS out of college. 9. Bill James, 21 year-old LHP out of college. 10. Daniel McCoy, 20 year-old RF out of college.

Guerra Cuts Self Badly with Kitchen Knife

Northern Lions BC reliever Mauro Guerra received medical attention yesterday after accidentally cutting himself with a kitchen knife at his home. Guerra was apparently preparing lunch when the knife he was using slipped and cut a large gash in his left ring finger. The cut required 7 stitches and will reportedly keep Guerra out of action for 2 weeks.
