Chicago No Match for Hamm Tuesday, September 18th, 2029 Phoenix Hotspur fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Wes Hamm blanked the Chicago Gold Sox, 2-0 at Gold Sox Field today. Hamm stopped them on 3 hits while walking 2 and striking out 10. "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Hotspur skipper Michael Esposito said. "He was on top of his game in this one." So far this year Hamm has made 23 starts, tossed 183 innings, struck out 130 batters and walked 46. His record is 16-3 with a 2.36 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .215 batting average.
