García and Crowder Brawl, League Suspends Them Monday, September 17th, 2029 After an intense confrontation, both the Hotspur Francisco García and the Gold Sox Dan Crowder were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Phoenix-Chicago game. Both players will miss 3 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Francisco García commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." García is hitting .324 so far this season with 72 RBIs and 74 runs scored. He has 132 hits including 15 home runs, 37 walks and .386 OBP. This season Crowder has notched 4 saves with 44 strikeouts and 13 walks in 73.2 innings while registering a 4.89 ERA and a 6-4 won-lost record. |
