Renaissance Sneak Past Divided, 2-1

Wally Copeland pitched well, but the D.C. Divided still lost the game, falling 2-1 to the Detroit Renaissance at Washington Stadium. Detroit reliever Martín Flores picked up the win, upping his record to 6-7. Wally Copeland was saddled with the loss. Brantford Winstworth III converted his 1st save in 1 tries.
Cisco Padilla made it 2-1 in favor of Detroit when he delivered a 2-run home run. It came with two out in the top of the ninth. The Renaissance went on to win.
"It feels good to get that win," said Padilla. "Now it's on to the next one."
At 38-54, Detroit is in last place in the Silver League.
